Suicide Prevention Walk

The University of Wisconsin-Madison's student organization Ask.Listen.Save. will be hosting its fourth annual, award-winning Out of the Darkness Suicide Prevention Walk on April 13th. Sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, this nationally renowned campus walk will benefit suicide prevention efforts both on campus and in the surrounding community. Read more about registering for the event below!

In person registration begins at noon in the backyard of Sellery Hall, and opening ceremonies will begin at 1 PM. Registration for the event is free, but all participants who raised $100 or more will receive a free event t-shirt showcasing their unforgettable efforts to bring mental health into the conversation. Participants are also encouraged to contribute to our project of visual remembrance, which will be bordering the festivities.

Between registration and the beginning of the opening ceremonies, be sure to visit UW-Madison's other student organizations that will be tabling and hosting other fun activities on the nearby blacktop. Ask.Listen.Save. merchandise will also be sold at the center table across from stage. Opening ceremonies will include a variety of guest speakers including the CEO of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Bob Gebbia. University Health Services will also be presenting information about their upcoming suicide prevention programs on campus.
