Public Service Fair

Looking to Volunteer? Visit the Fall Public Service Fair!   This annual even hosts over 70 local non-profit agencies. At the fair students are able to learn about volunteer, advocacy, and service learning opportunities that match their interest, major, and career goals. Whether you are interested in poverty, education, or the environment, come and see what the Public Service Fair has to offer! Study Abroad Fair

Attend the Study Abroad Fair!  The Study Abroad Fair is an event for anyone interested in learning more about the many exciting study and intern abroad opportunities available at UW-Madison. There will be over 90 exhibits displaying information about more than 200 UW sponsored programs. Student Organization Fair

Looking to join a Registered Student Organization? Curious about all the clubs on campus? Come to the Student Organization Fair! Wednesdays at Washburn

Please join the Honors Student Organization (HSO) the first Wednesday of every month as we invite faculty from across the university to speak about their disciplines, research interests and current projects. Sessions are held in the Washburn Observatory library 6:00-7:00 p.m. Bring your friends, all are welcome!  See below for this semester's line-up! 

Day in the Field -- GCRC Government Career Fair in Chicago

Interested in working for Federal or State Government agencies? L & S Career Services invites students to attend The Government College Relations Council's (GCRC) annual Government Career Fair!  Who should consider attending? Any UW student interested in a career in government.  This fair will be of interest to students of ALL majors. Government agencies hire people from all majors and all backgrounds. David L. Boren Scholarships and Fellowships

Looking for financial assistance to study abroad? Hannah Grossblatt, from the Institute of International Education, will be speaking with interested students about the David L. Boren Scholarships (for undergraduates) and Fellowships (for Graduate students).  When : Tuesday September 9                  --Undergraduate session: 2:00-3:00 pm                 --Graduate session: 3:00-4:00 pm Where : Red Gym, On Wisconsin Room A Boren Awards provide a unique funding opportunity for U.S. students to study world regions critical to U.S. interests (including Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East). The countries of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are excluded.

Chazen Museum of Art is looking for a Print Room Volunteer

The Chazen Museum of Art is looking for a Print Room Volunteer! While working in the print room, volunteers have the opportunity to handle works of art, learn how a museum works behind closed doors and help with exhibitions. Typical tasks include working in storage, handling works of art, completing curatorial records, preparing mats, and framing works of art. Volunteers work 4 hours a week, in one time chunk, either Tuesday or Friday afternoons, from 1-5 p.m. Applications due September 5, 2014.
