Writing Center Spring Workshops

The Writing Center is a great resource for all writers. No matter where you are in the writing process or what you are writing- applications, theses, literary reviews, media projects- the UW Writing Center has a workshop for you! Peace Corps

Interested in the Peace Corps? Teach for America

Teach for America is a national nonprofit organization that works to recruit recent college graduates as well as people from any sector to work in an underserved, low-income community as public school teachers for a period of two years in 1 of 50 different locations across the United States. They are looking to close the education gap in this country and believe that UW-Madison students are instrumental in this cause. Considering this opportunity? Are you a strong writer who enjoys helping peers with writing?Are you interested in joining a diverse group of students committed to mentoring others and serving as campus leaders?  If so, consider applying to be a writing fellow! The Writing Fellows program is looking for articulate, highly motivated undergraduate students from all majors (not just English) in the College of Letters and Science to participate in a peer tutoring of writing program that places undergraduates in positions of intellectual leadership. Winter Carnival

Embrace the cold and snow and participate in Winter Carnival!  Winter Carnival is a fun week (February 2nd -- February 8)  of wintry activities put together by Hoofers in conjunction with The Wisconsin Union Directorate.  There will be a wide variety of activities and events that include everything from a Bonfire at Picnic Point to Horse-drawn Carriage Rides to  Pond Hockey to a Ski & Snowboard Rail Jam on Observatory Hill!! Spring Career and Internship Fair

Attend the Spring Career and Internship Fair! All UW-Madison students and alumni are welcome to attend this FREE event. The Journal of Undergraduate International Studies is now accepting submissions for the Spring 2015 issue

The Journal of Undergraduate International Studies is now accepting submissions for the Spring 2015 issue!   The journal seeks to publish the best undergraduate work across the country related to international themes and topics including, but not limited to: international conflict and conflict resolution, human rights, environmental issues, culture, history, comparative politics and economics, development and trade, global security and international health. To view previous issues, please visit:  www.juis.global.wisc.edu . Our submissions generally range in length from 5 to 20 pages. Submissions must not have been published in any other publication. Current undergraduates and recent graduates (one semester out or less) are eligible to submit their work.
