HSO Ice Skating Social

Please join the Honors Student Organization for one of our last events of the semester! We will be hosting an Ice Skating Social at the Shell. Skate rentals will be paid for by HSO and snacks provided. Feel free to invite friends because all are welcome! Peace Corps Application Workshop

L&S Career Initiative and Career Services Summer Internship Scholarships

Letters and Science Career Services are happy once again to offer Summer Internship Scholarships for L&S Students.  Awards range from $2000- $5000 and are made possible through the generous donations from the Henderson-Reznick family, the Shinners family, and the Picus family.  Eligibility: Must be an L&S Student Graduating in December 2016 or May/August 2017 Must be in residence (on campus) the 2016-2017 Academic Year Must have an internship offer Student must be enrolled in a UW-Madison sponsored internship course Domestic Internships: Students are required to enroll in INTER LS 260 and are responsible for all fees associated with the course. Interested in becoming a Writing Fellow? Attend the Writing Fellows Information Session! WHEN: Wednesday, November 18 5:00-6:00 p.m. WHERE: Helen C. White Hall, Room 6191 The Writing Fellows program is looking for articulate, highly motivated undergraduate students from all majors in the College of Letters and Science to participate in a peer tutoring of writing program that places undergraduates in positions of intellectual leadership. By working closely with professors to improve student writing in carefully selected classes, Writing Fellows serve as role models for other students on campus and gain invaluable experience as readers and writer themselves.  --Support a small group of students in their writing! --Gain leadership experience! --Earn a competitive stipend! The Journal of Undergraduate Science and Technology (JUST)  is a NEW biannual undergraduate research journal founded and maintained by an interdisciplinary team of undergraduates with the help of faculty and graduate advisors. JUST is dedicated to showcasing and disseminating undergraduate excellence in science and technology research. In strong support of The Wisconsin Idea, the mission of JUST is three-fold: First, to garner appreciation for the hard work and discoveries of aspiring undergraduate researchers at UW.
