Spring Honors Graduation Reception

Graduating in May? 

You and your guests are invited to attend the L&S Honors Program reception from 3:15- 5:00 p.m. in the Gordon Dining and Events Center on Friday May 13. 

No registration is necessary. Remarks will begin promptly at 3:45 - please arrive before then so that you can be recognized by name at the event. Light refreshments will be served.While you are welcome to wear your cap and gown to the Honors Program reception, most student and guests choose to wear dress casual attire. 

BUCKY will be making an appearance from 3:15 -3:45. So come early if you want a picture!
 

Keep in mind, this is the day before the university-wide commencement in Camp Randall Stadium on May 14th. For more information on the May 14th program, please visit commencement.wisc.edu

Invitations
The Honors Program plans to send a paper invitation for the Honors Program reception, addressed to your family, to your MyUW home address. Please be sure that your home address is up-to-date by following these directions. If you would prefer that we not send an invitation to you home address, simply reply to this email. If other loved ones will be celebrating your commencement that weekend and you would like for them to receive a paper invitation to the Honors reception as well, please use this form. (Limit two additional invitations.)

Regalia
To be recognized as an Honors candidate at the university-wide commencement ceremony on Saturday, you should wear the Honors stole (white the three cardinal bars) with your cap and gown. The stoles will be available at the University Bookstore. You will be required to pay a $25.00 deposit for the use of the stole. $20.00 of the deposit will be refunded when you return your stole to the Bookstore after commencement. 

Those graduating with Comprehensive Honors will receive a separate email about the awarding of the medallion...stay tuned to your email!
