Aim for A's – Use your Academic Resources

We hope that the first several weeks of classes have gone well, that you are each keeping up with your studies, meeting new friends and enjoying everything that the campus and city of Madison have to offer.
As we mentioned at SOAR, academic expectations between high school and college are drastically different. If you are having difficulty in any of your courses, don’t hesitate to seek support!
  • Talk with your instructor(s) in office hours
  • Talk with an Honors advisor about the challenges
  • Utilize one of many academic support services on our campus
  • Consider enrolling in an Academic Enhancement Seminar
  • The Center for Educational Opportunity (CeO) promotes access to resources, academic achievement and personal growth for students whose parents have not received a four-year degree, students who meet specific federal family income guidelines, and students with documented disabilities. They welcome applications from qualified, continuing students
This is also the time of year when some students feel homesick. If you are feeling down for any reason, please consider stopping into University Health Services’ Let’s Talk for support.

Best wishes for a happy and productive week!
