Come check out some awesome science experiments at your residence hall and learn about how Biocore might fit into your Wisconsin Experience! Biocore, honors biology program, students will be visiting Witte and Bradley to share some fun science experiments like making bouncy ball polymers, extracting DNA, and more! In addition, they will introduce you to the Biocore community and the fun science opportunities that this sequence provides . All students welcome!

Come and learn more about Biocore, honors biology -- a unique, immersive biology sequence with small class sizes and high contact with instructors, creating a close-knit community of scientists! Learn more about the program and ask your questions to current Biocore students to learn about the Biocore student experience! Drop in and learn more. 

Biocore Regular Application Deadline is March 3, 2017. 
We continue to accept applications after the deadline as space allows. 
Biocore courses start in the Fall. 

Prerequisites
* General Chemistry 104, 109, or 115
* First semester calculus: Math 221 (or equiv)
* Fall 2016 (or previous) enrollment in Org Chem 343
  • Integrated course sequence fulfilling requirements for any biological science major
  • Introductory to intermediate level honors courses that build over four semesters
  • Smaller class size and high instructor to student ratio
  • Emphasis on critical thinking, scientific communication, and process of science
  • Peer mentoring, outreach and directed study opportunities
  • Collaborative, supportive learning community
  • Earn Biocore Honors transcript stamp upon program completion
