On Thursday, October 12th from 5-7pm , HSO will be hosting a student advice panel in Ingraham 22. The HSO exec board and other upperclassmen will be there to answer any questions you have about their majors. They will have Ian’s pizza and students from all different disciplines including: Biology, Neurobiology, Biochemistry, Psychology, Spanish, French, Journalism, History, International Studies, Jewish Studies, Economics, Global Health, Pre-Med, Pre-Graduate school, and Pre-Law Stop by any time on October 12 th between 5-7pm to get your questions answered

Avukah , the undergraduate academic journal of the Center for Jewish Studies, is now accepting submissions for the 2018 publication!   We accept papers, critiques, reflections, book reviews, and other works that relate to Judaism, Jews and Jewishness that touch on history, religion, politics, society and culture. We accept pieces of any page length. Students should email their papers to avukah.cjs@gmail.com .” All submissions must use the Chicago Manual of Style bibliography system. We ask that students omit their name from the paper, and instead include the following in an email titled "Avukah Submission 2017.” Full Name Major University of Wisconsin Year in School  Email  Phone number Title of Paper Professor and Class for which paper was written Semester and Year written All submissions are due by Friday, October 20 th . The Loewe Lab, located in the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery, is seeking undergraduate students to join their team's current projects in Bio Curation and Genetic Modeling.
