STEM Scholarships for Currently Enrolled Freshmen

We are happy to announce a new scholarship opportunity for current freshmen who are intending to pursue STEM careers. Thermo Fisher Scientific selected UW-Madison and the College of Letters & Science to select recipients.  (The College of Engineering was also selected.)

Eligible first-year students in the College of Letters & Science must be planning for careers in one of the following: Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Molecular Biology,Geophysics, Geology, Zoology or Mathematics. Students can apply now through December 2, 2013.

Thermo Fisher is providing support of $5,000 per year to 4 incoming freshmen.  This scholarship is also renewable.  Students planning a career in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math area are eligible to apply.  Students must complete the FAFSA and be enrolled full-time in the College of Letters & Science.
