Academic Journal Sifting and Winnowing is calling for submissions

Sifting and Winnowing: the Wisconsin Undergraduate Journal of Political Science, Law, and Public Policy is a newly founded undergraduate academic journal here at UW-Madison. They are currently recruiting submissions to publish in their second edition! They are looking for pieces that are relevant to topics in law, political science or public policy.

This publication is student-run and will publish work both written and edited by undergraduate UW Madison students. Their purpose is to foster scholarly and interdisciplinary discourse about law, political science and public policy on the undergraduate level. They seek to give exceptional undergraduates the opportunity to experience the peer review and editing process of academic journals. Submissions are welcome from students of all grades and majors. Copies of Sifting and Winnowing journals can be found in the Memorial Union browsing library as well as the Political Science, Economics and International Studies departments, among others.

Please submit all pieces in a double-spaced format, Microsoft Word .doc format, follow the Chicago style, and include endnotes as well as a works cited section. Although they will consider submissions of any length, they prefer pieces within the range of 8 to 25 pages. It would be highly appreciated if longer papers could be shortened to fit this page length recommendation before submission. We welcome any questions about these submission requirements.

The editorial board requests that you email electronic copies of your paper and works cited as attachments to sifting.uw@gmail.com. In the body of the email, please include the following information:
