Free Menigococcal Disease B Vaccinations for Students
Important Information:
Students can receive their free vaccination at the SERF on:
- Two UW-Madison students are recovering from meningococcal disease
- Meningitis is rare, often comes on suddenly, and can progress rapidly
- Most students are protected against serogroups ACYW, but few are vaccinated against serogroup B
- UHS recommends that all undergraduate students get vaccinated against menigococcal disease serogroup B
- The vaccine will be available at no cost to students
- The vaccine is a series of two doese that protects against meningococcal B
- So not share drinking cups or eating utensils
Students can receive their free vaccination at the SERF on:
- Thursday, Oct. 20 | 11 am - 7 pm
- Friday, Oct. 21 | 10 am - 4 pm
- Tuesday, Oct. 25 | 9 am - 4 pm
- Wednesday, Oct. 26 | 11 am - 7 pm
- Thursday, Oct. 27 | 10 am - 5 pm
