Panel and Discussion about the Liberal Arts

What is a liberal arts education? What is its place in the contemporary university and free inquiry? What is its place in a free society more broadly? What can you do with a liberal arts degree after you graduate?

If you are interested in these questions, this is the event for you. Please come and join us on December 5th in 126 Memorial Library from 5-6:30pm. Refreshments will be provided.

We have four speakers: Kyna Hamill (Boston University), Joe Lampert (University of Chicago), Benjamin Kleinerman (Michigan State Univ) and Greg Downey (UW-Madison).

The event is open to public. Students, staff and faculty are welcome to join us.

Please RSVP here (encouraged but not absolutely essential).

This will be a great event to attend with other Honors students. Join Honors advisor Christine Evans and Faculty Director Sabine Gross - look for us (with "Honors" sign) at the event.
