Learn How Medicine is Made
Pharmacists can prepare personalized medications for patients. This compounding lab activity will provide an opportunity for you to make (or compound) a specific medication to treat a disease. You'll see first-hand how pharmacists are the medication experts on the health care team.
Be on the Forefront of Patient Care
As the most accessible health care provider, pharmacists help treat and care for patients with chronic diseases like diabetes, heart failure, hypertension, and more. In this pharmacotherapy lab demonstration, you will observe and engage in a simulated patient consultation.
I chose to attend the UW–Madison School of Pharmacy because I knew that it would provide excellent foundational knowledge that would lead to future success as a pharmacist. The school has always been innovative, forward-thinking, and provided excellent education. [This] was an opportunity that I could not pass up.
