Lunch and Learn: Diverse Brains with Professor Morton Gernsbacher
Monday, October 20, 12:30-1:30p.m.
Room 228 Psychology Bldg.

Humans differ. Most read with their eyes, but some read with their fingertips. The majority communicates by speaking and listening, but a minority communicates by signing. Humans are diverse, and so are our brains. When should neuroscientists accentuate these differences – and when shouldn’t they? Why should individuals, themselves, accept their brain differences? And how can we, as a society, accommodate those brain differences? Professor Morton Gernsbacher will give a brief 30 minute informational talk about the above information, answer questions following the presentation, and talk about her new depth course and why Internet-based education works really well for Diverse Brains.
