2017 Leadership Trust Award

Do you have a great idea to enhance the UW-Madison campus and/or the larger Madison community? Apply for the L&S Honors Leadership Trust Award!

The Leadership Trust Award provides up to two students with an award equal to two semesters of resident, full-time tuition plus project funds up to but not to exceed $3,000 as justified in the submitted project budget. The awards and the project funds provided are intended to be used by the student(s) to help plan, develop, and implement projects designed to improve the UW-Madison, the university community, and/or the university student body.
 

Leadership Trust Workshops will be held in the Washburn Observatory conference room:
  • Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 12:20 - 1:20 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. 

Eligible students include currently enrolled L&S Honors Students (Honors in the Liberal Arts, Honors in the Major, or Comprehensive Honors) with at least one year of undergraduate study remaining at the time of the award.

To apply, complete and submit the application, budget form, and essay. The application form will be available at the information sessions, in the Washburn Observatory main office, and online here. Additionally, submission of the project proposal, at least one letter of recommendation from a University of Wisconsin-Madison faculty member, and a UW-Madison student transcript (unofficial or official) is required.

Application Deadline: Wednesday, April 5, 2017 no later than 4:15 p.m.  

Notification of award status will be mailed to applicants within four weeks after the application deadline.
