In this exciting
program students are immersed in some of the richest ecosystems on Earth, and
gain first-hand experience in ongoing conservation projects! After intensive Spanish training and
homestays in Quito, we embark on an extended exploration of Ecuador’s
magnificent tropical habitats.
Participants spend two weeks conducting research in the western Amazon
rainforest, investigate at length ongoing Ceiba conservation projects in Andean
cloud forest and on the wild Pacific coast, and study marine biology during a
three-week visit to the world-famous Galapagos Islands. During the final month you willl put your
training into action by undertaking an internship with a local organization of
your choice!
